Dr. Blalock is Chair of the Department of Accounting and Business Administration and Professor of Economics at the University of Evansville. Dr. Blalock received his Ph.D. from Oklahoma State University. He also holds an M.A. in Economics from the University of Arkansas and recieved a Bachelors in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Arkansas. His research interests include continuing work on economic impact models and various pedagogic issues in teaching principles of economics.
Jill Griffin is an Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of Evansville. She earned her Ph.D. in Marketing at the University of Texas at Austin. Jill also holds an MBA and an M.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, an M.A. in Economics from Indiana University, and a B.A. in Mathematics and Russian from Trinity University. Jill worked in marketing and business development at Dell Computer Corporation and in management consulting at Deloitte Consulting prior to completing her Ph.D. She has also worked as an instructor in Russia and Bulgaria. Jill’s primary research interests include consumer decision making, consumer search behavior, and retail assortment strategies. She has served as a reviewer for the European Marketing Academy.
After a business career that spanned more than 30 years in marketing, financial PR, and advertising, Patti Lodato is now Executive-in-Residence in the School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville. Passionate about improving the state of writing in the workplace, Patti coaches students and businesspeople in honing their professional business writing skills. She has degrees in English from the University of Evansville (B.A.) and Indiana University (M.A.).
Christine L. McKeag is the assistant dean of the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration and an assistant professor of accounting, serving on the faculty since 1977. She teaches Principles of Accounting, Financial Accounting Lab, Intermediate Accounting and Accounting Information Systems. Professor McKeag received an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh in 1975 and a BS from the Pennsylvania State University in 1970. She is a Certified Public Accountant, a Certified Management Accountant and a Certified Financial Manager. She received the 2003 Dean’s Teaching Award and was named the 2005-06 Exemplary Professor at the University of Evansville.
Rob Montgomery is Associate Professor of Marketing at the University of Evansville where he has served on the faculty since 1998. Prior to coming to UE, Rob was Assistant Professor of Marketing at the University of North Carolina Pembroke for five years. Rob received his DBA and MBA at Mississippi State University and his BSBA from the University of Southern Indiana.
Laura Paglis is an Associate Professor of Management in the School of Business Administration. Dr. Paglis was awarded the Dean's Teaching Award in 2002 and the Dean’s Research Award in 2004. She teaches courses in Organizational Behavior, Principles of Management, and Decision Making. Dr. Paglis earned her Ph.D. in 1999 from Purdue University in Organizational Behavior. She earned her B.S. in Accounting from Indiana University in 1985, and passed the Certified Public Accountant exam in Illinois in 1987. Before graduate school, Dr. Paglis worked for eight years at Amoco Corporation in Chicago (now BP) in various accounting positions.
Pete Sherman is an Assistant Professor of Management at the University of Evansville. He earned his Ph.D. in Business Policies and Strategy with areas in Entrepreneurship and Organizational Behavior from the University of Nebraska. Pete holds an MBA from Creighton University and a BA in Economics from the University of Kansas. Prior to pursuing his Ph.D., Pete was in the investments business for approximately eight years, including time with Ameritrade Corporation and Chase Manhattan Investment Services. Pete co-founded an investment advisor business. Research interests include realistic previews, cognitive biases and ethics. Pete was also the Sam Walton Fellow for Students in Free Enterprise at the University of Nebraska from 2001 to 2003.
Mike Zimmer is the Guthrie May Endowed Professor of Business at the University of Evansville, where he has served on the faculty since 1976. He teaches principles of economics, intermediate microeconomics, regression analysis, and econometrics. Dr. Zimmer received his Ph.D. in economics from the University of Tennessee in 1977. He also holds an MBA from the University of Tennessee and a BA in mathematics and economics from the University of North Carolina - Asheville. His current research interests include applied labor economics.
Ph.D., University of Toledo Dr. Greg Rawski was honored as one of 12 future leaders of Indiana selected as recipients of the Governor’s Award for Tomorrow’s Leaders by the Indiana Humanities Council. The Governor’s Award for Tomorrow’s Leaders recognizes outstanding young Indiana leaders between the ages of 19 and 29 for their achievements in entrepreneurial, community, education, and cultural arenas and for their commitment to Indiana. As part of the Governor’s Award for Tomorrows Leaders a monitory gift of $1,000 is given to each award recipient. Rawski is granting his gift to create an annual scholarship for young leaders at the University of Evansville.
Ph.D., University of Toledo James Schaefer is a professor of accounting. He joined the University of Evansville in 1990, after completing his DBA in Accounting from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Journals in which Dr. Schaefer has co-authored articles include Research in Accounting Regulation, Journal of Accounting and Public Policy, and Accounting Historian’s Journal. Dr. Schaefer’s main research areas are the regulation of accountants and management information systems. Dr. Schaefer maintains several professional certifications, which include Certified Information Systems Auditor, Project Management Professional, Certified Internal Auditor, and Certified Public Accountant (State of Iowa).
BA, European Languages, Oxford, England Jeff Reed is a veteran of more than 35 years in global business which includes senior leadership roles with multinational companies in Europe and Asia-Pacific. He is originally from the UK and his first overseas posting was in marketing with Gillette in Scandinavia. He relocated to Singapore and spent the next 25 years living there and also in Malaysia, Hong Kong, Pakistan and China working with consumer goods multinationals such as Reckitt-Benckiser, Carnation and Bestfoods-Unilever. He headed up Bestfoods joint ventures in Lahore, Pakistan for four years and Beijing, China for six years. Since relocating to the US in 2000, Jeff has become a cross cultural coach and consultant to international business executives; his special interest is the impact of cultural difference in effective communication, negotiation and decision making in the global business arena. He is currently an executive in residence at the Schroeder Family School of Business Administration at the University of Evansville where he has taught EMBA classes in Global Business Ethics and Intercultural Communication. He has a BA Hons degree in European Languages from the University of Oxford, England and is proud to hold both US and UK citizenship.
Walayet A. Khan is a Professor of Finance at the University of Evansville. He received his Ph.D. in 1990 in finance from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. Dr. Khan is an active research scholar and he maintains a consistent record of scholarly work. He has published papers in numerous finance journals, including the Journal of Financial Research and the Financial Review. He has also presented papers in regional, national, and international conferences. He has served as consultant to many national and regional organizations, including the Philadelphia Stock Exchange, the Chicago Stock Exchange, Attain (Electronic Communications Network), and the Signature School in Evansville. Dr. Khan is a recipient of several awards, including 1996 outstanding teacher of the year (UE) and 2006 UE Global Scholar.
Wesley Milner is currently Director of the International Studies Program and the Austin S. Igleheart Chair in Political Science. His primary teaching role involves offering international relations courses such as U.S. Foreign Policy, Politics of the Global Economy, Human Rights, and International Law and Organization. His career began in Washington, D.C. where he spent several years as a researcher for a government contractor, working closely with a number of security organizations such as the National Security Agency and the Department of Defense. Professor Milner’s international experience includes serving as a visiting professor with the University of Virginia’s Semester at Sea, Harlaxton College in England and Tokoha Gakuen University in Japan as well as research travel in Europe, Asia, Latin America and Eastern/Southern Africa. His research, which integrates international political economy and human rights, has appeared in Human Rights Quarterly, the Journal of Private Enterprise, Sociological Quarterly, and a number of edited volumes, most recently Essential Readings in Human Rights from Lynne Reiner Publishers (2007). As Director of the International Studies Program, Professor Milner has managed the University’s summer study abroad program in Asia and supervised award-winning student delegations competing at the annual Model United Nations. He is also the faculty advisor for the campus chapter of Amnesty International. In addition to being nominated for the University’s Outstanding Teacher of the Year Award, he has won the Dean’s Teaching Award in the College of Arts and Sciences.
Dr. Howard has been admitted to the Bar of the Supreme Court of the State of Indiana and to the Bar of the U. S. District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana. She certified as a Mediator for Family Law in the State of Indiana and holds a Secondary Education Teaching Certification for life in Indiana. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana Bar, the Evansville Bar Association and of the American Association for Paralegal Education. |
