Admission Process


Q. Can I be admitted into the program if I have less than
five years of professional experience?


A. The program is designed for professionals with over five years of work experience.

Q. Is a personal interview a requirement for admission into the program?
A. Personal interview is not a requirement for admission into the program; however it may be requested by the Admissions Committee. If you are asked to participate in an interview, this will be conducted in person at the University of Evansville campus.

Q. What should be included in the letters of recommendation?
A. The letters of recommendation should come from two individuals who know you well professionally and/or academically. The letters should address your professional skills, academic capabilities, leadership roles and career goals. The letters should be submitted in a sealed envelope directly to the Executive MBA Office.

Q. Is the GMAT a requirement for admission?
A. GMAT is not a requirement for admission into the program; however it may be required upon review of your application documents by the Admissions Committee.

Q. How many students are admitted into the cohort program?
A. The cohort program is made up of a small group of 12-20 individuals.

Q. When can I apply for the August 2008 program?
A. Application for admission into the August 2008 program is now open. We have an open rolling admission.

Q. What is the deadline for submitting my admission paperwork?
A. The deadline for submitting admission paperwork is May 1, 2008.

Q. How quickly will I hear back about my admittance into the Executive MBA program?
A. Once the Executive MBA Office receives all the required documents for your admission, the Admissions Committee will review your documents and inform you of their decision.

Q. Are there any opportunities for me to learn more about the program and discuss my questions in person?
A. The Schroeder Family School of Business will host two information sessions in January 2008, in order to provide a detailed overview of the Executive MBA Program. Interested candidates should register for these events with the Executive MBA Office. Both events will be held on the University of Evansville campus.

Q. Is a corporate sponsorship a requirement?
A. Many Executive MBA students receive some level of financial assistance from their employers and for this reason, there are no scholarships available. However, a corporate sponsorship is not required.

Q. When will the next cohort group start?
A.The next cohort group will start in August, 2008.

Program Details

Q. Is this program accredited?
A. The Schroeder Family School of Business is an AACSB International accredited School.

Q. How much does the program cost?
A. The full cost of the program is $49,500 which includes all instructional materials, meals, parking, computer & library access, graduation expenses and academic services. International airfare cost is not included in the tuition. However, international accommodations and meals will be provided by the University of Evansville. Also, travel and accommodations on class weekends are the responsibility of the student.

Q. How many credit hours will I earn during the program?
A. By completing the Executive MBA program, a student will earn 46 credit hours.

Q. What is the dress code for classes?
A. The dress code for classes is business casual.

Q. How much time do I have to commit for the program?
A. The next 20 month long program will start in August, 2008 and will conclude in April, 2010. The program has been designed in a fashion that allows you to continue your carrier without interruptions. Classes will be held conveniently on Friday evenings and all day Saturday of alternate weekends. The schedule has been established in advance and dates for class meetings posted on our website, so that it will give you the chance to manage your time and calendar wisely.

Financial Support

Q. Is financial support available through UE?
A. Many Executive MBA students receive some level of financial assistance from their employers and for this reason, there are no scholarships available. Federal student loans may be available for students who do not receive full financial support or to offset any difference between tuition and company sponsorship.
