Executive MBA Information Session

The University of Evansville will be hosting an Executive MBA Information Session to provide prospective students information about our program details. Dates to be announced.

The University of Evansville Executive MBA Program is applicable for executives, managers and professionals with over five years of work experience from private and nonprofit organizations as well as the public sector. The 20-month long program schedule is designed to meet the needs for individuals of all educational backgrounds. The program is divided into five terms, not necessarily of equal length. Classes are taught on alternate weekends - Friday evening and all day Saturday. The next term will begin in August 2010. As part of the International Business Seminar, the class will travel internationally for an 8-day trip (location to be determined). The program concludes in April 2012, with graduation in May 2012.


UE Listed with Top Schools

The Princeton Review has listed the University of Evansville among the 158 best colleges in a 12-state region. The designations don't have a numerical ranking, but UE is listed in the alphabetical group of top Midwest Colleges. Read full article

Executive MBA Cohort II Begins January 9, 2009

The Executive MBA program is designed as a cohort program; all students proceed through the program as a class group. The current cohort, which begins class on January 9, is scheduled for graduation in May 2010. The curriculum is delivered in five consecutive terms with classes held on alternate weekends (Friday evening and Saturday scheduling). In addition to the core courses, the weekend sessions include informal instruction and learning exercises that emphasize global themes, such as foreign language instruction and cultural awareness. The weekend sessions also include invited speakers and other opportunities for students to exchange ideas and engage in learning outside of the classroom.


Inaugural Executive MBA Class Graduates

The twelve members of UE's first Executive MBA class graduated on December 17, 2008, but they won't be looking for their first professional jobs. They are already area business executives with at least five years experience who are striving to further their careers. In alphabetical order, the graduates are: Andrew Alexander, Richard Deer, John Harman, Jesus Hernandez, Jeff Howell, Karen Lance, Anna Newton, Ben Schultheis, Herman Thomas, Walt Valiant, Eileen Weber, and Christopher Yingling. Congratuations graduates and best wishes!


EMBA Class Goes to China

The Executive MBA class will embark on their international business mission to China on September 30, 2008. First, students will spend a couple of days in Hong Kong, visiting Victoria’s Peak, Stanley Harbor and Star Ferry. On October 4, the class will travel to Beijing where they will have the opportunity to participate in a presentation lead by the University of International Business and Economics and hear an overview of the Chinese economy. In addition, the class will learn about the Asian investment environment and consumer behavior. They will also hear from Mr. Gilbert Van Kerckhove, Managing Director of the Beijing Olympics. Mr. Gilbert will provide a summary on Beijing before and after the Olympics. Between October 8 and 12, the class will visit Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou. Here, the class will visit several companies and participate in discussions with management. The class is scheduled to visit the following companies: Boehringer Ingelheim, Shanghai Hengyuan Garment, Crown Corporation and the Suzhou Industrial Park. First EMBA Cohort Graduation Ceremony Set

Class of 2008

The first Executive MBA cohort is scheduled to complete the 20-month long program by November 22, 2008. The Schroeder Family School of Business Administration will host a special hooding ceremony for the class on December 16, 2008 at 7:00 p.m. in Smythe Lecture Hall. Keynote speaker will be Ms. Linda White, President of Deaconess Hospital. Reception will follow in the Atrium. Students, their families and friends are invited to this special occasion and are advised to RSVP to the Executive MBA Office at 812-488-2455 or by contacting Cindy Kelley at ck116@evansville.edu. Baccalaureate and commencement will take place on December 17, 2008 (location and time to be determined).
